EGH is a strong new musical force breaking through the Los Angeles fusion scene. This trio of inspired players combines melodic guitar licks with harmonically aggressive bass and rockin' poly-rhythmic drums to create an invigorating sound. Always seeking to challenge the musical status quo, the band strives to take traditional forms, such as the blues, and set them on their ear. The rhythmic modulations and unique melodic and harmonic choices take the listener in a new direction.
EGH was born out of a mutual admiration among the players. Separately, each member of the band is a force to be reckoned with in the competitive Hollywood music scene. Together, their chops combine seamlessly.
Charlie Waymire (Jeff Kollman, Mike Hartman) brings his exceptional double bass technique, blazing hands and spirited fills to the table.
Albie Dunbar on bass (Jimmy Crespo, T.J. Helmerich) locks in the bottom end with great funk feel and a committed, nonconformist take on creating the rhythm bed.
Ernesto Homeyer on guitar (Brett Garsed, Jacob Armen) alternates between finesse rhythm playing, memorable melodic licks and cutting soloing. The result is a "must-hear" experience.
EGH makes it debut release with It's About Time. T.J. Helmerich, long-time Tribal Tech engineer, co-produces this project along with the band.
